Laindons guesthouse Hastings breakfasts – delicious!

Laindons guesthouse Hastings breakfast – delicious!

We take great pride in the Laindons guesthouse breakfasts which are served every morning between 8.30-10am in our conservatory overlooking East Hill nature park, the perfect place for a relaxing start to the day.

We’ve created a menu that reflects the seasons and sources the best local produce available; our fresh free-range eggs are from Woodlands farm, our free-range sausages and bacon are from our local butcher with our jams and marmalades hand-produced nearby in Battle. Our bread is from the local baker who is excellent and we source our coffee from a small local independent coffee house Storm Coffee with fruit juices/smoothies freshly made every morning.

But if a ‘full English’ isn’t your thing, not to worry, we have other items on our menu to tempt you; after all, they say it’s the most important meal of the day, so we like to make sure you’re fed and ready for anything. Why not try our delicious granola, Lancashire yoghurt and dark berry compote, or our crispy bacon on a blueberry pancake. We also offer delicious vegetarian and vegan breakfast options to set you up for the day including deliciously prepared vegetarian homemade potato rosti, avocado, tomatoes and yummy mushrooms.

If you’ve any special requirements or if you need an earlier start, please let us know when you book or contact us on: on 01424 437710 or mail: welcome@laindons.com.

An amazing place!

“We stayed for 2 nights as a midweek birthday treat. The place was amazingly comfortable, with every need you can think of catered for. The room was very spacious, the bed super huge! The extras lovely, (homemade cookies). The tea and coffee high quality too. The pillow wouldn’t fit in my bag but I did threaten to steal it! The bed linen was sumptuous.
The room looked out over the high street but it was very quiet at night. Ear plugs, (gull plugs) were provided but not needed at all.
The breakfast was divine – homemade granola was delicious and full English very good but the blueberry pancakes with smoked bacon and maple syrup was even better!
We were even treated to homemade carrot cake which was left for us to help ourselves to with our afternoon cup of tea.
There is no hotel car park but parking is available in a pay&display car park two minutes away, (literally). Complementary overnight parking vouchers are provided. I cannot fault The Laindons, it is the best B&B I’ve stayed in! Well worth the money, I would definitely recommend and will stay again as soon as I can. Thank you, I left feeling thoroughly spoilt.”

Five Star Stay!

“This was our first B&B/Hotel stay since January 2020 and almost forgot what a pleasure it is staying in a well-run and friendly guest house.

For our three-night ‘nostalgia’ stay, the accommodation (Red Room), breakfast (super quality), facilities and, above all, hosts Karen and Martin were excellent. There is not much more to add in terms of description and praise that has not already been recorded in previous reviews. The ‘extras’ in the room were very welcome, such as good quality tea and coffee items, and bathroom toiletries – even facemasks. The room was spacious and the bathroom (shower only) was compact but very comfortable. The shower was really powerful too! Only two very minor mentions: the noise from the shower (pump) in the adjoining room was very loud when in operation, and that there is no lift/elevator in the building. These are only very tiny observations though and in no way interfered with our relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Laindons.

The location in the old High Street is perfect for the old Hastings Town and the seafront, as well as the lovely east and west cliffs. We elected to take to train to Hastings (from London) and Hastings station is approximately a 20-minute walk to the guest house.

Now that we have discovered the Laindons, it will be our first choice for accommodation in future visits to Hastings, and will base any stays around room availability. It’s a real gem!”

Elegant B&B in the heart of Hastings’ Old Town

“We have just spent two nights at this lovely B&B, based on previous positive reviews. It is a really elegant property, situated on the High Street of the Old Town, Hastings. We stayed in the beautifully-decorated Yellow Room which is really spacious, with a separate shower and corner bath. The room had everything we needed and we were able to collect small bottles of fresh milk from the communal area so that we could have hot drinks in our room.

Karen and Malcolm were incredibly friendly hosts. Guests are given a parking permit, which allows you to park in the public car park just behind the B&B. Spaces are limited and we happened to stay during a February heatwave when Hastings was ridiculously busy. The permit covers you from 4pm (check-in) until 11am (check-out) the following day. So please bear in mind that if you stay for two nights, as we did, you have to cover the cost of parking from 11am until your next permit kicks in at 4pm. We went off to explore the local area by car and had to park further out of town on a side street on our return until spaces became available in the car park again.

I could hear slight traffic and then seagulls from our room overnight/early morning (and I am a very light sleeper) but the complimentary earplugs in the room did the trick! The toiletries in the room are lovely and we found the bed to be very comfy with luxurious bedding. We took advantage of the DVD library one evening too. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. We would have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to stay.”

Always stay here!

“I loved our stay here. The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff is wonderful and friendly. Hastings is a wonderful seaside town to walk around in. The Laindons is a charming B&B. I highly recommend you get the blueberry pancakes at breakfast.”
