An incredibly nice place to stay in Hastings – Guest Reviews
Stylish, comfortable and welcoming
Our hosts have such an eye for detail, from the superb quality bed linen to the honesty bar, the delicious breakfasts and striking the right balance between friendly and letting us enjoy our own space. A beautifully restored building filled with well chosen art and detail. We’ll be back for sure!

Inspiring!
The way that Karen and Malcolm have decorated their stunning boutique hotel is inspiring! From the moment we booked to stay they were so helpful and accommodating, so friendly. Very close to old town and yet peaceful. We were fortunate enough to have a lovely view from our bedroom. Breakfast was very tasty and all the additional bits like mini muffins were a nice surprise. The conservatory and views from the breakfast area were beautiful! I can’t think of a better place to stay in Hastings!

A real treat
Malcolm and Karen couldn’t have been more thoughtful and friendly hosts. They have created a place to stay that’s calm, comfortable and stylish. We stayed for one night having cycled 40 miles from Kent, and it was so convenient to be able to leave our bicycles securely under the stairs. We arrived hot and sweaty and they gave us a cold beer! Every detail made our stay a real treat, from the mini-fridge, bathrobes and lotions, to the beach shoes and towels (which we would have used if a puncture hadn’t delayed us). All rounded off with a superb breakfast in a conservatory-balcony with a fine view. We’ll definitely try to stay here next time we visit Hastings. Thank you!

Immaculate
We were greeted on arrival at The Laindons, on 16th June, by Malcolm the most genial of hosts. We were given a tour of the B & B and shown to our room. It was called “Coral”. Absolutely perfect. Nothing had been overlooked to make sure we had the best time. I won’t list everything as that would spoil your enjoyment when you go. It ought to be taken for granted that guests have no need to comment on cleanliness but on this occasion it deserves a mention. Immaculate is the only word for it. Now for the breakfast. Spectacular. Freshly prepared and so tasty and filling. Take my word for it, don’t book an early lunch. Thank you Malcolm, Karen and all staff who made this one night stay fabulous.

Excellent welcoming accommodation
Just spent 2 nights at the Laindons. Our experience matched the many reviews which led to us choosing this Hotel in the first place. The standard of accommodation and breakfast is beyond excellent with many extra little touches that made our stay especially memorable. The rooms are big and beautifully appointed, and the hosts welcoming and reactive to any request. Only providing breakfast is no detriment as there are plenty of eateries within easy walking distance in the old town. Only one possible consideration is if stairs are a problem, book a low floor. Tried to stay an extra night, but not surprised to find them fully booked. We will return again.

A fabulous weekend stay
The Laindons is one of the best B & B’s we have stayed in, everything was perfect and Malcolm and Karen had thought of everything. The Green Room was beautifully designed and the bed was so comfy. Karen’s breakfasts were delicious and used the best ingredients all beautifully cooked and presented. The recommendations they gave us for things to do, places to eat and drink were also spot on. Definitely 5*****

A Gem
I stayed at The Laindons for two nights in early May. This place is a hidden treasure!!!! It is in Old Town, Hastings at the quiet end of High Street. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised that our rooms were ready for us an hour earlier than checkin time. I stayed in the Yellow Room, which I think is the largest of the rooms. There were 5 windows on one wall overlooking the hillside and the town below. The room was beautifully decorated with lovely bedding and beautiful artwork, a tile fireplace, comfortable seating, a large bathroom with a shower and a deep tub. A separate room with fun fish patterned wallpaper housed the toilet. Every need was considered in decorating this room with a clothes steamer and ironing board in the closet. (I didn’t use them, but it was very thoughtful.) Breakfasts are splendid with several choices of starters and entrees. There is an honor bar in the lounge; magazines, dvds, and books are available to borrow. It is hard to describe how lovely this place is. Karen, the owner, and Natasha, her assistant, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. I loved this place!!!!

Stunning boutique Luxury B&B
As good as a 5 star hotel, in fact, better than many I have stayed in. Wonderfully stylish, comfortable, friendly, with delicious breakfast. Fantastic location in Hastings old town, where the best shops are. Parking was a breeze in the local carpark right next door. Highly recommended.
