“We stayed in the red room, room 3 which was lovely with an en suite shower room. We were greeted with a drink of our choice when we arrived and our cases put in our room while we parked the car in a local car park very close by. Ian gave us a car park pass which was valid from 4pm to 11 am. The room was unique and nothing had been forgotten, even ear plugs due to the seagulls!
There was a lovely communal lounge we could relax in with an honour bar stocked with beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks. There were also baskets with snacks like chocolate bars and crisps if you were peckish. The bathroom was filled with Nashi Argan products which were lovely and the room had tea and coffee making facilities with tea pig tea bags and a cafetière, everything was of a high quality and there was even fresh milk!
The breakfast was amazing, crisp, starched tablecloths and napkins, freshly squeezed orange juice and a good choice with everything home made. Downstairs, attached to the hotel is a tea room with fresh cakes which was lovely to come back to. The hotel is in a perfect location, in the old town and walking distance to the beach, Stables theatre and restaurants. Karen and Malcolm made us welcome and we felt like old friends when we left. Nothing was too much trouble and there were baskets of beach blankets to use and cold boxes on offer if you wanted a picnic with a deli more or less next door to fill it with!
We are already looking forward to going back. You would not be disappointed with this unique and luxurious boutique hotel.”
